French stock market index down 0.61 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 dropped slightly by 0.65 percent to close at 4,956.47 points on Friday, down 30.38 points.

Europe's second quarter growth not being satisfying, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Friday, with 35 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The top three gainers on Friday were Safran, up 2.37 percent, Renault, up 1.18 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco, up 0.84 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Friday were EDF, down 2.33 percent, Lafargeholcim Ltd, down 1.99 percent, and Sanofi, down 1.76 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 rebounded by 1.25 percent to close at 4,986.85 points, up 61.42 points. Endit
