Chinese stocks close higher Thursday

Chinese shares closed higher on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.76 percent to close at 3,954.56 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.1 percent to close at 13,395.18. The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, added 2.4 percent to end at 2,684.26. Endi
