Athletes from four countries to participate in Cuba' s Friendship Cup

Parachuters from Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Peru and the United States will take part in the 2nd Sports Parachuting Friendship Cup (Precision Landing Category) to be held in Cuban resort of Varadero from Aug. 12 to 15, local media reported Monday.

According to Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, Omar Gomez, director of the organizing committee, said 45 male and female parachuters will take part in the competition.

Gomez added that the most competitive teams are Brazil and Cuba, with three squads each.

The competition will be held at the International Parachuting Center (CIP) located in Varadero, the most important Cuban resort located in the northern coast of Matanzas province, at 140 km east of Havana. Endi
