Five people have been confirmed dead and 16 others injured as anti-government militants organized a suicide car bomb near the entrance gate of Kabul International Airport on Monday, Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement released here.

CAIRO -- At least 21 people died and 66 others were sent to hospitals due to the heatwave hitting Egypt nationwide, the health ministry said in a statement Monday.

DAMASCUS -- The Islamic State (IS) terror group abducted 20 people from towns under its control in the northern province of Aleppo, a monitor group reported Monday.

MOSCOW -- Nine people have died in an air crash in the Moscow region, Russia's Investigative Committee said Monday.

ANKARA -- Four Turkish police officers were killed, one heavily injured on Monday in bomb attack by the militants of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) in southeastern Turkey, private Dogan News Agency reported.

FERGUSON, United States -- A gunbattle erupted in Ferguson, Missouri, between police and protesters on Sunday during a protest on the anniversary of the killing of 18-year-old black man Michael Brown by a white police officer, seriously wounding a man.
