Xinhua, August 6, 2015 Adjust font size:

Tokyo issues ended the trading Thursday higher on the yen's weakness that helped export-oriented shares.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 50.38 points, or 0.24 percent, from Wednesday at 20,664.44.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange edged up 7.73 points, or 0.46 percent, at 1, 673.58.

Gainers were led by pulp and paper, textiles and insurance issues.

The turnover was about 3,087.5 billion yen (about 24.75 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
