Singapore stocks close almost flat

Singapore stocks finished slightly higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 0.35 points, or 0.01 percent, to close at 3,191.39.

A total of 1.72 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1. 28 billion Singapore dollars (922.3 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 243 to 188, while 509 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 1.75 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 3, 191.04 on Tuesday. Endi
