French stock market index down 0.16 pct on Tuesday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a slight decrease of 0.16 percent to close at 5,112.14 points on Tuesday, down 8.38 points.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly lower on Tuesday with 17 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

Orange and Pernod Ricard stayed the same as previous trading day.

The top three gainers on Tuesday were Veolia Environnement, up 3.22 percent, Peugeot, up 1.95 percent, and ArcelorMittal, up 1.90 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped the most on Tuesday were Credit Agricole, down 10.17 percent, Airbus Group, down 1.28 percent, and Societe Generale, down 0.79 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained an advance of 0.75 percent to close at 5,120.52 points, up 37.91 points. Endit
