Pakistan lodged protest with India over the cross- border shelling that killed at least two people, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
"The Government of Pakistan lodged protest with the Government of India on the latest unprovoked ceasefire violations by the Indian security forces in Pukhlian-Aknur sector at the Working Boundary. Two civilians, aged 14 and 22, embraced shahadat, and 7 others, including 3 children and 2 women, were injured," a Foreign Ministry statement said. (Pakistan-India-Shelling)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak on Tuesday met here with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, and both sides pledged to further enhance bilateral ties.
Hailing the close neighborliness between Malaysia and China, Najib said Malaysia fully supports the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiative and the establishment of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank that are proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
He said Malaysia is willing to work with China to push forward the construction of industrial parks and welcomes more Chinese enterprises to make investments in the country and particularly participate in the development of its manufacturing sector. ( Malaysia-China-Ties)

YANGON -- A ten-member Chinese rescue team arrived in Yangon by plane Tuesday to extend helping hand to Myanmar people affected by severe flood which has killed at least 47 people.
The first Blue Sky Rescue Team, the Chinese largest non- governmental humanitarian organization, is the first international rescue team arriving in Myanmar and they will rush to Rakhine State, one of the worst-hit areas, for launching rescue operations, said Zhang Yong, leader of BSR team. KUALA LUMPUR -- Foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) expressed satisfactions over the ASEAN community-building process, but called for accelerated actions to complete the remaining tasks, Malaysian Foreign Minister Anifah Aman said here Tuesday.
The evaluation was made at the 48th ASEAN Foreign Ministers' Meeting (AMM) as the 10-nation bloc is expected to realize the goal of establishing an ASEAN Community by the end of 2015.
ASEAN foreign ministers "are satisfied with the rate of implementation of the action lines in the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Blueprint" after taking stock of the progress, Anifah told a press briefing. (Malaysia-Community Building) Endi
