Xinhua, August 4, 2015 Adjust font size:

The UEFA Disciplinary Committee has imposed a penalty of 20,000 euro on Georgia's soccer powerhouse Dinamo Tbilisi, local media reported on Tuesday.

The Committee posted a declaration on its website, saying the penalty on Dinamo was because several banners appeared during a match with Azerbaijani FC Gabala on July 2 in Georgia.

According to the UEFA official website, Dinamo Tbilisi was charged for racist behavior, field invasion by fans and displaying an illicit banner.

The match between Dinamo and Gabala was held on July 2. Dinamo won the match 2-1.

An incident took place after the match. As Azerbaijani media reported, there was a quarrel between Georgian and Azerbaijani fans and Georgians damaged the guests' flags in the process. Endi
