JAKARTA -- Two people were killed and 10 others injured in a bomb explosion that ripped apart several houses in Indonesia's eastern region city of Makassar on Monday afternoon, a local TV network reported.

DAMASCUS -- At least 25 people were killed and tens of others wounded when a Syrian warplane crashed over a marketplace in Syria's northwestern province of Idlib, activists reported.
