Flood sweeps 9 away in NW China, 2 dead

Flooding caused by heavy rain swept away nine tourists in northwest China's Shaanxi Province on Monday, with two already confirmed dead and the rest missing.

The nine people were washed away as they were dining at a village in the Qinling Mountains in the province at around 5:15 p.m.. Rescuers have rushed to the scene.

Local police said previously that 15 people were swept away in the flood, but the local publicity office revised the number down to nine. Endi
