The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 99.68 points, or 0. 48 percent, from Friday to end the morning at 20,485.56. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 5.20 points, or 0.31 percent, at 1,654.32.
