Seven injured in boat explosion in southeast England

Seven people were injured in a boat explosion on Sunday afternoon, six of them were sent to hospitals, local police said.

Thames Valley Police on Sunday said the police were called to Bray Lock, Amerden Lane, Taplow, a village in the South Bucks district in Buckinghamshire, where the explosion occurred at around 12:40 p.m.

Local police said the boat was thought to be privately owned and a number of passengers, including children were on board.

Two men, two women, a teenage girl and a three-year-old boy have been sent to local hospitals for treatment, while another man received minor injuries was treated at the scene, the police said, adding those people receiving treatment in hospitals had no life-threatening injuries.

Police officers are still at the scene and investigating the incident. Endit
