Spain's consumer prices fall by 1 pct in July

Spain's consumer prices fell by 1 percent in July when compared with June according to data of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) published on Thursday by Spain's Statistical Office (INE).

The INE also reported that Spain's annual inflation rate stood at 0.0 percent in July, which meant a 0.1 percent fall in comparison with the country's annual inflation rate of June.

According to the INE, this fall would be due to lower prices of fuels.

The data will be confirmed by the INE on Aug. 13 when it will provide a more detailed explanation of the evolution of prices. Enditem
