In the second quarter of 2015, Latvia's seasonally adjusted gross domestic product (GDP) grew 2.6 percent against the same period last year, showed a flash estimate released Thursday by the national statistics office.

Compared with the first quarter of this year, the Latvian economy expanded by 1.2 percent, according to the flash estimate.

The annual growth of the Latvian economy was driven by a two percent increase in manufacturing and a three percent rise in services, excluding the trade sector which grew by four percent over the year, representatives of the statistics office said.
