Xinhua, July 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

A national facility for protein science was officially opened in east China's Shanghai as one of the country's key science infrastructure projects.

The facility in the Zhangjiang High-tech Park was completed in March 2014, with total investment of 756 million yuan (123 million U.S. dollars).

It passed a review by a state panel of experts on Tuesday.

The facility has already helped analyze more than 370 protein structures, said Lei Ming, director of the national center.

He added the achievements have advanced protein science research and boosted the development of bio-medicine in China.

The center aims to house 40 young researchers from around the world for advanced protein science research and technology development. Endi
