Iceland's company insolvencies decrease 12 pct year-on-year in June

Iceland's company insolvencies over the last 12 months stood at 744, decreasing by 12 percent year-on-year in June 2015, according to data issued Tuesday by Statistics Iceland.

The greatest decrease of insolvencies was 47 in manufacturing sector, 24 percent over the previous 12-month period.

There were 2,173 new registrations from July 2014 to June 2015, an increase of 11 percent over the 1,951 new registrations in the previous 12-month period.

The highest number of new registrations was 270 in construction sector, an increase of 48 percent over the 183 in the same sector in the previous 12-month period. Endit
