China thrashes Slovakia in basketball friendly

A 50-30 first half secured Chinese Olympic team of men's basketball an 82-68 victory over Slovakia here on Tuesday in a friendly match at the 2015 Internationl Basketball Challenge.

Six Chinese players scored in double-digit. Guo Ailun led China for two matches in a row, with 14 points, four assists and three steals from 19 minutes. Tao Hanlin finished with 11 and grabbed five rebounds. Luo Hanchen, Chen Linjian, Zhu Yanxi and Jia Cheng contributed ten apiece. Li Muhao grabbed a match-high nine rebounds and dished out two blocks and two assists.

Finishing the first quarter at 26-17, the host outscored Slovakia 24-13 in the second period. Peter Sedmak scored all his 11 points in the third quarter but still failed to narrow the gap and the final quarter only became the practising time of China's substitutes.

Pavol Losonsky led Slovakia with 13 points.

China will play against Italy on Wednesday. Endi
