International athletic tournament to start in Ho Chi Minh City

The 22nd Open Ho Chi Minh City International Athletics Tournament will be held here from July 28 to August 3, with participation of athletes from 12 Asian countries and regions, the Vietnam Athletics Federation said Tuesday.

Hundreds of athletes from China's Hong Kong, China's Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Brunei, Cambodia and many Vietnamese cities and provinces, will compete in the tournament, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh City Athletics Federation.

Winning 8 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals, Vietnam finished first at the 21st Open Ho Chi Minh City International Athletics Tournament in 2014, followed by South Korea and Thailand. Endi
