Rampaging bull sends Australian campers scattering

Xinhua, July 28, 2015 Adjust font size:

An aggressive bull forced campers to climb trees to escape it when it stormed through a caravan park, local media reported on Tuesday.

The angry long-horned bull charged at people when it entered the camping ground in the Northern Territory and refused to leave when the manager tried to herd it out with his car and had to call police.

"It was a bit of a danger to people at the caravan park," Duty Superintendent Brendan Muldoon told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.

"I know there were 50 people at the park at this time, quite a few obviously saw it and called police to assist.

"Some people had to escape from the bull and hide up a tree."

Muldoon had to shoot the bull dead to stop the threat it was posing. Endi
