Real Madrid romp past Inter Milan

Real Madrid took the victory in their first pre-season outing on Chinese soil for four years as the Spanish giants beat Inter 3-0 in the International Champions Cup here on Monday.

Jese Rodriguez put Real Madrid ahead in the 29th minute as the 22-year-old striker shook off Jeison Murillo's defense after Marcelo crossed high into the box then sent the ball into net.

Real Madrid started to make changes after break as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and some other main players were substituted.

The French defender Raphael Varane extended the lead in the 56th minute as the center-back converted the square pass from Lucas Vazquez.

James Rodriguez sealed the game in the 88th minute as the Colombia international's free kick beat Inter's goalkeeper Samir Handanovic again before his first attempt was saved by the Slovenian.

Inter concluded their tour in China which saw them suffer a three-game losing streak while Real Madrid are scheduled to play against AC Milan on July 30 in China's mega-city Shanghai. Endi
