ADO Den Haag beat Chinese National Youth Team 2-1 in Weifang Cup

ADO Den Haag youth team beat Chinese national youth team 2-1 in Luneng Weifang Cup International Football Tournament here on Monday.

Eight teams, mostly composed of U-19 players, competed in the tournament. Chinese national youth are two years in average younger than the other seven teams.

Both ADO Den Haag and Chinese national youth team lost the game in the first round of the tournament. In the first half, ADO Den Haag opened their scoring through Roy Castien at the eighth minute. Van der Heijden made it 2-0 for ADO Den Haag at the 31st mark.

Liu Ruofan scored for China at the 63rd minute.

Seven youth teams from Portugal, Argentina, Mexico, China, the Netherlands, along with China's national youth team, are competing in the tournament running from July 26 to August 1.

In other matches, Vitoria Guimaraes beat Shandong Luneng 2-0. The defending champion River Plate held Wolfsburg 2-2. Argentinos Juniors edged Mexican C.D. Guadalajara 3-2. Endi
