Croatian citizen kidnapped in Egypt

A Croatian has been kidnapped in Egypt, Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs said on Friday.

The Croatian, 31, was kidnapped in Cairo on 22nd July on his way to work by unidentified assailants, the ministry said in a statement.

A group of armed men stopped a French company car which the Croatian was riding in, the statement said, adding Kidnappers forced the driver out of the car and drove off.

Local media quoted government sources as saying the unidentified kidnappers have not demanded any ransom so far.

He was the first Croatian citizen kidnapped in a foreign country, it said. Endit
