Portugal's Foreigners and Frontiers Service detains foreign citizen at Lisbon airport

Portugal's Foreigners and Frontiers Services (SEF) detained a foreign citizen at Lisbon airport following a European arrest warrant and for the purpose of extradition, issued by the German authorities, the SEF said in a statement on Friday.

The 42-year-old passenger, a foreign resident in Germany, was identified by the SEF at the documentary checks at the National Territory exit, and was heading to Dubai, according to the statement.

The detained person was sought for falsifying documents and will appear before the Lisbon court of appeal, and is awaiting the terms of the extradition process. Endit
