French stock market index down 0.58 pct on Friday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.58 percent to close at 5,057.36 points on Friday, down 29.38 points.

Affected by disappointing economic indicators from the United States, the CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Friday with 32 of the 40 selected companies experienced decrease.

The top three gainers on Friday were Alcatel-Lucent, up 1.66 percent, Legrand, up 0.58 percent, and Capgemini, up 0.36 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Friday were Peugeot, down 5.14 percent, ArcelorMittal, down 2.52 percent, and Renault, down 2.46 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.08 percent to close at 5,086.74 points, up 4.17 points. Endit
