Singapore stocks close 0.11 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 3.72 points, or 0.11 percent, to close at 3,352.65.

A total of 1.68 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 959.3 million Singapore dollars (699.3 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 269 to 183, while 499 others finished unchanged.

The STI index was down 2.80 points, or 0.08 percent, to close at 3,356.37 on Thursday. Endi
