At least one person was killed and 10 others injured when a suspected improvised bomb exploded inside a bar Thursday night in south Philippine city of Zamboanga, security officials said on Friday.
The police said the lone fatality was identified as Geraldine Miguel, 21, cashier of the bar while most of those injured were guest relation officers and 3 male clients of the bar that cater massage and video karaoke entertainment. (The Philippines-Bombing)

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- Nine people were killed, 23 injured and 31 others missing after a tourist bus skidded off the road and plunged into a river in India,officials said Friday.

HONG KONG -- The Belt and Road initiative can provide the world economy with a fresh and much-needed impetus to the otherwise mundane global growth outlook, Hong Kong's Financial Secretary Tsang Chun-wah said at a forum here on Friday.

TOKYO -- Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe' s Cabinet on Friday approved government officials'guidelines for the country's fiscal 2016 budget.
