Urgent: Oil prices retreat amid supply glut worries

Oil prices went down Thursday as the market continued to worry about the global supply glut.

The West Texas Intermediate for September delivery moved down 74 cents to settle at 48.45 U.S. dollars a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent crude for September delivery decreased 72 cents to close at 55.28 dollars a barrel on the London ICE Future Exchange. Endite
