French stock market index up 0.08 pct on Thursday

The French stock market benchmark index CAC 40 gained a slight advance of 0.08 percent to close at 5,086.74 points on Thursday, up 4.17 points.

With the hesitating performance of the Wall Street, the CAC 40 of Paris closed slightly higher on Thursday with 27 of the 40 selected companies gaining advance, while Peugeot and Total stayed the same as previous trading day.

The top three gainers on Thursday were Veolia Environnement, up 3.22 percent, Capgemini, up 1.17 percent, and Unibail-Rodamco, up 0.95 percent.

The three companies whose stocks dropped most on Thursday were Publicis Groupe, down 2.65 percent, Valeo, down 1.57 percent, and Technip, down 1.52 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 experienced a decrease of 0.47 percent to close at 5,082.57 points on Wednesday, down 24 points. Endit
