Xinhua, July 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics on Wednesday met with representatives of the fish processing industry to discuss opportunities for expansion of new markets, including Brazil and South Korea, the Foreign Ministry said.

The Foreign Ministry has been actively collaborating with the Agriculture Ministry to provide Latvian business with more opportunities to enter new markets, Rinkevics said, adding that the network of Latvian diplomatic missions in foreign countries is at the Latvian entrepreneurs' service.

Rinkevics informed that Latvian officials have been holding talks with Brazilian and South Korean authorities on the certification of Latvian-made fish products for sale in these markets.

Taking part in the meeting were Didzis Smits, President of the Union of Latvian Fish Processing Industries, as well as representatives of Latvian fish canneries Karavela, Ventspils Zivju Konservu Kombinats, Brivais Vilnis and Gamma-a. Endit
