Norway's mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik has been admitted to the bachelor's program in political science at the University of Oslo, but he has to remain in prison to study and, as a result, would probably not get a degree, local media reported on Friday.
The university's rector Ole Petter Ottersen said Breivik, 36, was admitted in line with regulations and "we must not allow individuals to change this," according to local newspaper VG. (Norway-Mass murderer)

CAPE TOWN -- South African President Jacob Zuma has called on the citizens to jointly build a united and more caring society when the country marks the second Nelson Mandela Day.

ISLAMABAD -- Pakistan army on Friday approached a UN mission group over the recent "ceasefire violations" by India that have killed at least four civilians and injured five others.
"Pakistan Army registered Indian army ceasefire violations with the UN Military Observer Group (UNMOGIP) and highlighted the Indians' use of heavy mortars and machine guns on civil population, living along the Line of Control and the Working Boundary," the army said. (Pakistan-India-Border)

BRUSSELS -- A 7.16-billion-euro (7.8 billion U.S. dollars) bridge loan to Greece will reach "on time" by Monday when the debt-torn country have to repay a 3.5-billion-euro loan to the European Central Bank (ECB), a top EU official said Friday.
