Dollar trades in lower 124 yen range in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the lower 124 yen range early Friday morning in Tokyo, slightly higher from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 124.17-23 yen compared with 124.09-19 yen in New York and 123.92-94 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The euro fetched 1.0882-0883 dollars and 135.12-14 yen against 1.0868-0878 dollars and 135.03-13 yen in New York and 1.0899-0900 dollars and 135.06-10 yen in Tokyo late Thursday afternoon. Endi
