Tokyo stocks open mixed after 4-day rally

Tokyo stocks opened mixed in early trading Friday on profit-taking after a four-day rally.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 32.16 points, or 0.16 percent, from Thursday to 20,632.28. In contrast, the broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 0.76 point, or 0.05 percent, to 1,660.07.

Major gainers included insurance and other products, while mining and rubber products led decliners. Endi
