Xinhua rolls out credit information service

Xinhua, July 16, 2015 Adjust font size:

China' s national news agency made its first foray into the credit information market after launching a new service to help global investors avoid credit risks on Thursday.

The China Economic Information Service, an organ under Xinhua News Agency, will gather, organize and process the credit information of countries, businesses and projects along the Belt and Road Initiative, creating credit reports, ratings and consulting for international trade participants, credit providers and investors.

The credit information service will offer insight into political, economic, sovereign credit and social risks of countries in the region and gather information on honesty, compliance and allegiances of related enterprises as well as implementation process of certain projects.

The Belt and Road Initiative is a trade and infrastructure network including the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road proposed by China in 2013. The network connects Asia, Europe and Africa and passes through more than 60 countries and regions with a population of 4.4 billion. Endit
