Mali arrests 20 terror suspects, including 2 Frenchmen

Xinhua, July 15, 2015 Adjust font size:

Mali's security forces have arrested 20 suspected terrorists among them two French nationals at Zegoua, a town near the border with Cote d'Ivoire, sources said Tuesday.

"The 20 suspects included Malians, Mauritanians and French nationals who came from Cote d'Ivoire on Monday aboard a public transport vehicle," security sources told Xinhua, adding that they had been transferred to the capital Bamako.

It comes after a recent arrest of other terrorist suspects including one found with propaganda materials of the Ansar Dine jihadist movement which claimed responsibility for the latest attacks in northern and southern Mali against the Malian army and the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali.
