Cuban paddler Mengana wins gold medal in kayak

Cuban paddler Yusmari Mengana on Tuesday won her second gold medal in the kayak K-1 (200 m) at Toronto 2015 Pan American Games, local media reported.

According to Cuban news agency Prensa Latina, Mengana dominated the race and won with a time of 42.946 seconds, followed by Canadian Michelle Russell, who ended with a time of 44.152.

Bronze medal was for Argentine Sabrina Ameghino, with a time of 44.759.

Earlier on Tuesday Cuban Mengana won another gold medal in the K-2 (500 m) category together with Yurieni Guerra. Endi
