Yangon int'l airport sees over 500,000 tourists in 1st half of 2015

Yangon International Airport saw more than 500,000 tourists in the first half of this year, sources with Ministry of Hotels and Tourism said Wednesday.

About 400,000 tourists visited Myanmar every month during this period.

In June, a total of 67,267 tourists visited Myanmar through Yangon International Airport.

According to official statistics, in 2014, Myanmar received 3. 05 million foreign tourists, up 49.5 percent from 2.04 million in 2013.

The country targets to attract 5 million tourists in 2015. Endi
