LME base metals drop mostly on Tuesday

Base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) closed mostly lower on Tuesday.

News that the agreement was reached between Greece and its creditors boosted metals prices in the morning.

However, the prices declined later as the market still worries about how Greece would honor the agreement.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 32 U.S. dollars, or 0.57 percent, to 5,559 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 9 U.S. dollars, or 0.53 percent, to 1,701 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 17 U.S. dollars, or 0.92 percent, to 1,828 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Besides, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 12 U.S. dollars, or 0.59 percent, to 2,039 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price increased 112.5 U.S. dollars, or 0.98 percent, to 11,587.5 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price increased 125 U.S. dollars, or 0.86 percent, to 14,625 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
