Tokyo stocks surge 1.50 pct following Greece deal

Tokyo stocks surged 1.50 percent on Tuesday morning amid renewed investor sentiment after Greece and the rest of the eurozone had reached a provisional deal.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average climbed 301.97 points from Monday to 20,391.74. The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 23.59 points, or 1.46 percent, at 1,637.10.

Gainers include securities, nonferrous metals and insurance issues. Endi
