Mexico wins gold, bronze medal in triathlon

Mexicans Crisanto Grajales and Irving Perez on Sunday won gold medal and bronze medal respectively in triathlon at Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.

According to Mexican daily El Universal, this is Grajales' first medal in his second participation in Pan American Games.

"We are making history. The gold medal is a result of long-time hard work," said Grajales.

Grajales' medal was the third gold for Mexico. With this result, the athlete got a ticket for Rio de Janeiro 2016.

Grajales won with a time of one hour, 48 minutes and 58 seconds, followed by United States' Kevin Mc Dowell (1:48:59) and Perez (1:49:59). Endite
