BiH prepares for Srebrenica anniversary

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) on Friday prepared for a ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of Srebrenica massacre, to be held at Potocari Memorial Center on Saturday.

Top officials and representatives from several countries and international organizations will attend the solemn ceremony, among whom are former U.S. President Bill Clinton, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.

The remains of 136 newly-identified victim in Srebrenica massacre will be buried after the ceremony. Some 50,000 people are expected to come to Potocari, near Srebrenica, the organizers said.

Over 1,000 police officers and special forces members were mobilized to ensure the safety, local media reported.

On July 11, 1995, some 8,000 Muslim men and boys were reportedly killed by Bonsian Serb forces, the worst massacre in Europe after World War II. Endit
