Tokyo shares end higher by break

Tokyo shares ended the morning session higher on Friday as sentiment here was lifted by a rebound in China's market and a new fiscal reform plan drafted by Greece over its debt crisis.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was up 81.82 points, or 0.41 percent, from Thursday to 19,937.32.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 17.27 points, or 1.09 percent, at 1, 597.16. Endi
