20 injured in expressway pileup in central Tokyo

Some 20 people were injured in a reported four-car pileup on a looping expressway in the Japanese capital city of Tokyo Friday morning, according to local media.

The highway accident took place at rush hours around 9 a.m. local time. A truck and a taxi were involved in the accident, Japan's Kyodo News reported, citing local fire department as saying, and added that a police vehicle was also among the cars in the pileup.

Local police is investigating the accident, with ambulances dispatched to the site to transfer the injured. Endi
