Vietnam to host 1st int'l martial arts championship

Around 50 foreign delegations are expected to join Vietnam's first international martial arts championship namely Thang Long Cup 2015, said organizers on Thursday.

Speaking at a press conference in the capital, Hoang Vinh Giang, chairman of Vietnam Traditional Martial Art Federation said, "The championship, the largest-ever event of Vietnamese martial arts, will take place in Hanoi on August 6-13."

The championship, to be held every two years, will attract 36 domestic and 50 international delegations from 35 countries and regions such as Algeria, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Cambodia, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Myanmar, Laos, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, Spain and the United States.
