Wang Shijia claimed the silver medal in the women's 200m freestyle, the second swimming silver for China at the 2015 Gwangju Summer University Games here on Thursday.

"If it was a gold, that would be perfect. But I am still really satisfied with this result. It is the first time I competed in South Korea. I hope I can do better next time," said Wang, the gold medalist of women's 4x100 freestyle relay at 2010 Asian Games.

Vreeland Shannon of the United States powered her way in one minute and 28.33 seconds to take the title. Wang finished second with a time of 1:58.89, while De Memme Martina of Italy took a bronze in 1:59.14.

China won three swimming golds and two silvers so far, placing third on the swimming medal table at the Universiade. The United States topped the table with 12-8-4, followed by Japan with 5-6-6. Endi
