Poland's interest rates unchanged

Xinhua, July 8, 2015 Adjust font size:

Poland's Monetary Policy Council (RPP) announced on Wednesday its decision to leave the interest rates unchanged at 1.5 percent.

According to the statement, the RPP decided to leave the interest rates at the unchanged level, which means that the national bank of Poland (NBP) reference rate continues at 1.5 percent per year.

This decision also indicates that the lombard rate will continue at 2.5 percent, the deposit rate at 0.50 percent and the rediscount rate at 1.75 percent.

The RPP's decision agrees with the market expectations.

In March 2015, RPP lowered the NBP interest rates by 50 base points. Since then, the level has been unchanged. Endit
