Nigeria picks four players for table tennis tourney in Cameroon

Nigeria has named four table tennis players to attend the Africa Cup Championships in Cameroon from July 21-23, an official said here on Tuesday.

The four players, two males and two females, were carefully selected based on their current form and performance, Anderson Bankole, Technical Director for the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) said in Lagos.

The male players, he said, were Segun Toriola and Quadri Aruna, the 2014 International Table Star Player award winner, while the female players were Funke Oshonaike and Edem Offiong.

The selected players are the current good hands in the federation and capable of doing the country proud at the three-day tournament, the official said. Endi
