Ukrainian Polivoda wins third stage in Tour of Qinghai Lake

Oleksandr Polivoda of Ukraine's Kolss -Bdc Team won the third stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake on Tuesday, keeping his lead in the general individual classification.

The green jersey for the best sprinter went to Marko Kump of Slovenia's Adri Mobil. Colorado from China Ningxia Sports Lottery Focus Cycling Team was awarded the polka-dot jersey as the best climber of the day.

Tuesday's race started at Xining and finished at Qinghai lake. This stage, consisted of flat roads, with two sprints and a climb, covers a total the distance of 148 kilometers.

The riders encountered their first-ever climb at an altitude of 3,451 meters above sea level on the Sun and Moon Mountain.

The 2015 Tour of Qinghai Lake will last 14 days and cover 2,940 kilometers.

A total of 153 riders from 22 teams, including 1 UCI world team, 3 UCI pro continental teams and 18 UCI continental teams participated in this year's Tour of Qinghai Lake. Endi
