BMW Motorrad, the motorcycle brand of German car producer BMW Group, reported here on Tuesday to have achieved the best six-month sales figures in the first half of the year.

The Bavarian producer sold 78,418 motorcycles and maxi scooters in the first half year, an increase of 10.5 percent year on year. Alone in June, BMW Motorrad delivered 15,490 vehicles worldwide, setting a new record in the month of June, according to BMW statistics.

"Never before have we supplied this many vehicles to our customers. With a plus of 10.5 percent of the first six months, we are well on track to set a new sales record at the end of this year," said Heiner Faust, head of sales and marketing of BMW Motorrad.

According to the report, there are powerful growth stimuli coming from the major European markets of Italy, France, the UK, Spain and Germany, where continues to assert itself as the largest single market for BMW Motorrad.

At the same time, demand for BMW motorcycles in the Asian markets is also rising steadily. In particular, the Chinese market is showing considerable growth potential for BMW Motorrad with a dynamic increase in sales. Endit
