Saudi Health Ministry announced on Sunday the registration of six new Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) corona virus cases in a week from June 28 to July 4, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The new cases brought the total cases to 1,045, including 460 deaths. Saudi Arabia has adopted tough prevention and treatment measures with 55.3 percent recovery rate. (Saudi Arabia-MERS)

ISLAMABAD -- At least one person was killed and 19 others were injured on Sunday evening in a blast in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta, local media reported.
According to the reports, the incident took place when a huge blast hit the Bacha Khan chowk, a busy market cum cross road in the city. At the time of the blast, a number of people were busy in shopping at the site. (Pakistan-Blast)

ABUJA -- At least five people were killed in a suicide bomb attack Sunday at a church in Potiskum, a city in northeast Nigeria's Yobe State, witnesses said.
The deadly attack occurred at a branch of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Yobe state in the morning when a suicide bomber blew himself up by detonating an explosive device. (Nigeria-Suicide Attack)

CANBERRA -- Australia and its major ally the United States kicked off their biennial joint military exercise " Talisman Sabre" on Sunday in northern areas of Australia.
